No matter the details on the jeans, the options are endless, and so are the ensembles you can create.

DISTRESSING AND DETAILS: CHOOSING YOURS

A raw hem, like the Ruth, brings lots of shoe styling options

Raw hems are often considered the more casual style, but don’t let that stop you from wearing distressed pieces with your favorite heels. A raw hem draws attention down towards the ankles, making them perfect for showing off your footwear. Try a statement shoe with a pair of raw-hem or distressed straight-cut jeans to really make things pop.

PLAY WITH PRINTS, COATINGS, AND COLORS

Straight-cut jeans come in all lengths, rises, and colors. As the weather changes, so do color palettes; don’t be afraid to mix yours up as the sunny days get longer. Moving outside your comfort zone of classic indigo washes can be daunting, but styling unique denim is a matter of selecting your vibe for the day. What does your personality want for the day–bold, classic, elegant, or edgy?

ALL OCCASION DRESSING

Jeans can do it all, and with their more relaxed fit, straight-leg jeans are ideal for all-day comfort. From work to days off, we have you covered with some inspo:

  • Wear straight-leg jeans with silk blouses in matching colors to build a business casual monochromatic moment. The Ruth Straight-Leg Jean in black would be excellent with our classic Cosette shirt in the same color! Tuck the shirt in, and finish the outfit with the perfect belt: our Milou with matching hardware to the shirt.
  • Try wearing a more distressed pair, like the Nevia, with a graphic tee, such as our Tommie. Add the Cambrie blazer for an off-duty cool look.
  • Relaxed tops, like our Daria  tee, are extremely fun to play with, especially when wearing a higher-waisted straight-cut jean. Create a french tuck by tucking the tee into the front of your jeans to play with the silhouette, which is perfect for showing off your favorite belt (our Marlowe perhaps). This look is put-together but chill, ideal for everyday.
  • The slouchy sweater and straight-leg jean are a match made in casualwear heaven. Reach for our Antonella Crossover sweater and pair with the Ruth Straight-Leg Jean.

Straight-leg jeans are a wardrobe essential–one that stands the test of time and trends, and one that only gets more comfy with more wear. Remember, your personality is the key to choosing how you want to wear them day to day.
