Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This is for all the mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and countless families who have been impacted by this disease. As part of our ongoing commitment to this cause, every year we seek out and partner with organizations at the forefront of research, treatment, and advocacy.  In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we have made a donation to WCRF, the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in support of the advancement of the world’s most promising research directed at the development of innovative approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and metastasis of breast cancer. Join us in learning more about their groundbreaking work in this field at wcrfcure.org  For anyone currently dealing with this diagnosis, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

Sincerely,

Tara Rudes Dann

This month, we invite you to learn more about your own health. The Tyrer-Cuzick model, developed by Breast Cancer Research Foundation investigator Dr. Jack Cuzick, is a cancer risk assessment tool commonly used by clinicians that looks at family history in depth.

While breast cancer risk assessment tools cannot and should not replace discussions with your doctor, they may be a useful starting point to assess your habits, see how they influence your breast cancer risk, and guide further conversations with your healthcare team.
