These are adorable and comfortable, but I was quite surprised to realize that not only is the shoe suede, but the sole is suede as well. I had no idea a suede sole was even a thing that existed until these shoes arrived. The sole protector was also peeling on arrival, so I couldn't keep it on long term without it looking a little trashy.

If your plan is to wear these anywhere other than on waxed dance floors, you might want to consider getting them re-soled or buying sole protectors.

I like to take public transit, so I'm planning to see a local cobbler about getting a more durable sole installed. But, just wanted to highlight this so people are aware and can make decisions aligned with their lifestyles.

Also, on recommendation, I ordered a half size down from my normal size. It's a little snug, but I think the leather will stretch to a good fit with a some wear.
